I offered to trade my IR converted D1 on Craigslist. A couple of the things I mentioned I'd like for it is an older Nikon digital body like a D70 or D50 (that I'd convert to IR) or a pro/semi-pro film body (F3, F4, F100, etc), or even a lens.

I wasn't expecting such a quick response, but almost immediately 2 people contacted me, one offering the D70 and one offering the F100. I'd like to jump back into film a bit again, because my lenses are all film compatible and it'd be nice seeing 24mm without the crop... but at the same time, I love shooting IR. I don't know what I'd be getting with the D70 other than the body and presumably a battery. The lady who has the F100 said she has 2 and I don't know if she intended to trade both of them, but it'd be awesome if she did because I could find a use for both or sell one for some extra cash.

What do you guys think would be the most solid trade I could do?

I'd go for the D70.

You can pick up a used F100 for between, $170 and $220. D70s are more in the $300 range.

If I were in your shoes. I would go for the F100, and buy a D70s off of ebay. The D70/D70s are selling for around $150 - $200. The F100 is one of the best film cameras you can buy.

Oooh, a new challenger approaches: Nikon AF 300mm f4. Tempted the most by this offer considering D70 guy is gone and I'm not sure what else I'm getting with the F100 yet.
