Maximum PC magazine magazine has been making their back issues available in their entirety as PDF's on their website. For free. This is a well written and informative magazine with a bit of an attitude. (Their top rating for products is the "Kick-ass award", and their tagline is "Maximum PC, Minimum B.S.") This is as fun a a computer mag gets.

Most of their recommendations are based on actual testing in their labs or real world usage by their staff.

It is fairly expensive on the newstand at around $10 a pop, though subscriptions are reasonable. Once an issue is no longer on the newstands, they put it online. They also have a pretty good podcast. Maximum PC no B.S. Podcast

A good resource for anyone wanting to keep up on technology or learn more about it, and as entertaining as a computer magazine can get.
