I only got the dancer to pause a couple times but it would not go clockwise - always counter clockwise. I guess I have been in a rut for so long with relying on my left brain that my right brain is suffering from atrophy! Maybe the more I exercise my right brain with DPC it will get better. |

She pretty much changes direction at will. What I found is if I concentrate on the middle of her body she turns clockwise, concentrating on her feet she'll go counter-clockwise. She seems to bounce back and forth between clockwise and counter clockwise if I concentrate on her head. |

Here's my recommendation for your rehabilitation "D cultivate a friendship w/someone who is much more spontaneous than you & make a promise to yourself to do a few things with that friend on his/her terms. Just say yes. Just do it. At some point you'll discover you had a lot of fun without doing anything perfectly. |
My sister-in-law actually is a spontaneous, daring person and has helped me become not quite as tight laced. I guess I've always been too concerned about others perception of me even if I don't know them and will never see them again.

She's doing jumping jacks no matter how I look
at the image. What gives? (Pretty cold here in NC, looks like it's cold where she is too) |

My dancer doesn't turn at all. Stupid dial-up internet and 6-year-old computer : /
I write with my right hand, eat with both (but usually my left). There are a few other things I usually do left-handed too. According to that list on the dancer page, I'm mostly left-brained, but have quite a few right-brained characteristics too. That didn't surprise me much. I've always been pretty analytical/math/science orientated (I took Calculus class when I was 13), but I've always had a decent creative streak (I love coming up with the most elaborate and silly Christmas gifts--last year I gave one of my friends the Twelve Days of Christmas Swiss-style). Unfortunately, my creativity doesn't usually carry over to photography. What I wouldn't do for Scalvert-esque ideas! |

Having the opposite problem...lol!!
I adore math tho -- if I wasn't an art-and-english major I would be a math-and-physics major. Weird. |

Oh man that's crazy. Kept going counter-clockwise until I went back to this thread, then clockwise and each time I simply could not make her change direction. I'm only capable of using one half of my brain for long periods of time. No switching. |

Same with me. I debated whether to go to school for physics or photojournalism. Of course, the photos won : ) |

It's so hard to decide...!!! I'm thinking I could definitely end up with a physics minor...it's a small one, only 20 credits...
How did you decide? |

Well, my decision was finally made by which school I wanted to attend : ) The physics one was in the States and the photojournalism one was in Switzerland. A minor sounds like a good trade off, especially if you change your mind after graduation (unlike me, at least then you'll have some experience in physics!). Good luck! |
