Child refused cake due to his name. All I can say is, well, I don't really know what to say... |

I heard that story on the morning news. Are we assume the parents are neo-Nazis, or just idiots?
EDIT: A daughter named Aryan Nation... I think I got my answer.

My guess is that both. |

Those two labels are not mutually exclusive...
Egad! What were those parents thinking? The real victim is the kid. |

I hope the kids grow a brain and do the right thing when they become adults. I would refuse them entry into my business, nevermind writing on a cake.
Poor kids. Must be a blast at school. :(
The shoddy reporter even misspelled Heinrich Himmler, or was it the parents? Probably drunk when they chose the names.

Poor kids will have a tough time living down those infamous names. Fortunately, they can choose to change them once they are adults. Makes "A boy named Sue" seem like a nice name. |

I agree I feel sorry for the kids, the boy is most likely facing a lot of beatings at school when he gets older just because of his name as unfortunately most will only see the name and not the person behind it...

The parents may or may not be neo-nazis, but they are clearly intending to make a statement. Well, they did. I agree, I feel sorry for the kids. "A boy named Sue" had it easier. |

Huh. Surely there must be more to this story than choosing notorious names for one's children? I mean, for the State to take the kids. |

that's what i'm thinking. if they took the kids based only on their names, then the state is way out of line, i think. if there are other issues, it is a different story.
what could've happened is they drew the attention of their local dss (department of social services), and found reasons (other than the names, and perhaps legit, perhaps not) to take the kids. |

holy crap.
here in germany it wouldn't be allowed to name a child like that in the first place.

That's exactly what happened. I saw a video of their house and If
I'm not badly mistaken I saw un-secured firearms in the background. Some states have laws about this with regard to minor children. |

Those kids are in for a lifetime of abuse, based on their names. Reason enough, for me, to take the kids. |

My cousin Joseph Stalin had a hell of a time at school, so did his brother Pol Pot. |

In my country is prohibited to name a child with that kind of meaning or a name that will bring serious problems to the kid. But this is really subjective. There are a lot of "john lennon"´s for example, but this doesn't offend anyone. |

seriously, i think those parents did it on purpose.
