| A friend of mine got an offer from someone with a canon 200mm f/2.8 I lens to swap for his 70-200mm f/4. Is this a good swap? I love my 200 f/2.8 II but i don't know the differences between it and the earlier version. I know there aren't a lot of people here who have either prime lens, but I'm looking for opinions anyway. Thanks! |

| although I love my 70-200 f/4 I think I'd make that trade in a heartbeat ... I seem to use mine @ 200mm most of the time and to have a 2.8 vs 4 would be huge in my book ... |

Other than the hoods, according to this review of the MKII there's not a lot different between the two lenses. |
