eta: For what it's worth, though, I zoomed all the way in on the image and the pixel is dead center on 2675 and 2449 in CS3. This is using the rulers on the edge of the window. I agree that there shouldn't be a half pixel location for a hot pixel.


Right. I used IrfanView, and its dead on the same location.

I have to be honest, I wouldn't be so concerned with the hot pixel on that photo so much as the god awful noise and camera shake that is shown in that photo. This is the camera you traded your Canon gear for? That is an awful lot of noise for 200 ISO.

i think i can post the next one, i used a friends camera and if i get the shots from my other computer i'll post it.

Thanks for being candid. The purpose of this picture was to enhance and show the hot pixel. This is not the best picture I have taken with this camera, yet. I will start another thread if you want to discuss noise quantatively and qualitatively... it will be fun. Up for it? :-)
