Someone sent me pictures in an email, and I'm interested in posting them on my website. I'd do this so its easier to send a link then a huge attachment.
I was wondering if anyone knew the legal issues on that. I'm not posting them for any profit of my own, and they are traveling around in emails. Each image also has the photographers name on it.
Thanks for any information.

I think it would be ok as long as you give credit and in no way are profiting from their display.

Ok, I put them up.
The subject of the email was "Photos not in the News"
The emotion showed in these photos is increadible. The last one may be graphic to some viewers (no blood or anything though).

Those are excellent photojournalism and very impactful stuff. The last one is indeed upsetting. |

These look familiar.
The last one I know I saw on MSN.com, the soldier is a Navy Corpsman treating the child, who was injured, not killed.
All but the first one have the same drop shadow and show the photographers name in the same style and font as is used on the slide shows at MSN.com. I suppose that they are likely available there, probably with their associated captions.
They are very good shots.

Good to know. I wish the email would have given more information then just the pictures.
Thanks for all the info on them. I still haven't gotten contacted by anyone about having them posted on my website, so thats still safe.. haha.
