Wow. A roomie of mine once had a grand mal seizure in the bathtub, at a time of day when I normally would not have been home. Had to pull her (5'6 and at least 200lbs) out of the tub and call 911.
If I'd left 5 minutes earlier I would've returned home to find her dead.

So, was the seizure a lasting effect of the Kawasaki? I know that KD can cause aneurysms throughout the body's system and other heart issues (my 7 yo nephew had it when he was a year or so old, and still has to go to periodic check ups with a cardiologist), but is that what they think caused the seizure?

That is so sad. My heart goes out to them. Stars or not...they are still parents and a family and feel the same as you and I.

Oh man....

My wife is epileptic and so is at least one of my daughters...

It would be nice if some more publicity would go to epilepsy. Dumbass shit like one night when we were walking to some local celebrations and passed a crosswalk, kindly manned by the police. They had the strobes on their cruisers running while they helped people cross the street. they wanted to say hello to my wife and daughter as we crossed the street and were confused as to why they wouldn't respond, and kept their eyes hidden. I just told him, they're epileptic...

pfft.

Of course, I do find my strobe light handy whenever I want to go out partying and the wife says "no".
