I just got my Christmas camera gear today.
33 years after my Mom died, I finally got her cameras that I've been asking my sister to send to me.
They're intrinsically worthless, but they kind of are a cool evolutionary map of camers over the last 75 years.
The first one is this old 620 film camera from Kodak: Kodak Junior Six-20
The second one is this kind of strange Agfa, which was the camera I most remember: Agfa Optima Reflex
The last one was her pride & joy, the Canon: Canon FT QL
I also got two Komura lenses that fit the Canon, one a 75-150 f/4.5-?, and a 300mm f/5.
I'm kinda glad they're not really worth anything because that way I won't be tempted to hock 'em for a D700 and glass.
They're weird family heirlooms and a reminder of how it all started......I loved the pictures my Mom took......she always had the camera around when I was a kid.
It's how it all started for me.
It's nice just to have 'em sittin' around.
I still miss her.

Hey,
its great to see you got heirlooms taht you have now been granted ownership from. They are fun and cool.
My grandfather also gave me his old camera for christmas, an old Ansco Pioneer Camera.
He had it with him during the war, and took some awesome pictures with it. i feel so honoured to have gotten this, and he was so happy to see my open it. Now i feel inspired every tiem i look at it to think of the iamges its seen adn wehre its been.

| Pretty cool Jeb, they would be nice to put on a shelf display with some pics that your Mom took, a nice memorial. |

The twin lens 35mm camera is a gem. There were others made, but not too many. That has to be somewhat of a museum piece as I'm sure there arent many around. Does it still work? How do the seals look on it and the shutter sound? I've been toying with getting a TLR Yashica 124G to play with. They had an option on it for 35mm as well. Nice find and Merry Christmas.

Well, I rummaged around somewhat and it seems you can have your choice of a number of those TLR Agfas for a couple hundred dollars.....yes, this one works.....
I kinda think the old bellows Kodak is cool, and from what I can see, it still works as well.....all I have to do is get some 120 film and 620 spools and wind 'er up....
Oh wait! It's much more cool as a table ornament! LOL!!!
Here....just foolin' around......

Some neat old cameras for your collection. I think I have one of those Kodak 620's, or at least a very similar model:
