ya, but everybody already knew that. Barry Sanders would have rushed for 1,000,000 yards had he been on a real team.

They just keep finding new ways to suck even more...

You are truly giving them too much credit.

The problem is in two years they are going to be replacing Bailey (Champ, not Chump- I mean Boss).

I think the Bronc's need to do some radical thinking next year. Shift Woodyard to strong safety- he's never going to survive at LB in the NFL, except maybe in Nickel package only- the guys faster then anyone they have playing Safety and plays like he actually wants to be there.

Shift Moss to MLB, he's got good size for a MLB, but is undersized for a DL and he appears to be a decent tackler, not sure how he'd be going to a "heads up" spot. Leave D.J at the weak side, Keep Winborn for a season on the strong (lose Niko and Webster). Look for a young strong side guy.

They've got to come up with a pair of big time DTs. Ekuban and Dumervil can handle the pass rush duties if they aren't pulling double teams all the time.

Dump the one back offense (except on 3rd downs and 2nd and longs) and go primarily to a pro-set. Hillis (at FB) and Torain could eat up the league and wear defenses down. Young could be a capable 3rd down back. They need to get back to teams having to play safetys up. That frees Marshall and Royal on deep routes and takes away most of the double teams.

Just my $.02

I agree with this 100%

You know what though, you are almost guaranteed to be better next year...

That's what they said last year about this year...

Detroit won't go 0-32. I predict they will win 6 next year.

Maybe...

Of course, I'm sure they're hard at work on finding some new way to increase their suckage factor.

They'll probably trade away their first round pick in exchange for some mediocre running back that will blow out both knees in the pre-season. That in conjunction with whatever drunken never-was ex-high-school coach they hire to run the show and the other moronic decisions made in the Lions front office will keep them out of contention for anything but the bottom.

If I was a college player entering the draft, I'd think about quitting rather than go play for Detroit.

Personally I think the Lions went 1-16 this year. The Williams trade to Dallas for three picks was a BIG win.

Holy C****

I thought it would take one more bad year (after this one at least).

Did they really have a bad year? Hard to win when all of your running backs get hurt. That said, the entire fantasy football world must be very happy today.

They needed a change. He has made some bad personnel decisions, and his play calling has sucked for a while as well. We have most of the pieces in place to become the next colts, but we have to have a different offensive philosophy, not to mention an entire different defensive concept. Shanahan was always into smaller players but the league has gotten bigger. Our best player this year was that huge rookie LT, and he was about the only big player out there.

+ I personally thing (and have no way of proving this) that Jay Cutler was starting to rumble. I think he hated some of the plays that he was calling. 3rd and 20 was always a screen to the right. Total give up play.

While I like Shanahan, it is time for a change!

I'll take him as the Rams head Coach any day but i guess you gotta do what you gotta do. They better land a big name coach though.

I hear Mike Martz is now available... :P

Early reports are Bill Cowher. Possibly Marty S.

Record wise they didn't have a bad year. But they had too many games (1st KC game, 2nd Raider game, Buffalo) where they just didn't show up. Theres no way to know this, but I have a feeling it was the up and down performances that cost him the job.

I could see Cowher in Denver.

They were blown out by the good teams. That is what did them in. You can't give up 480+ points and keep your job. You can't blow a 3 game division lead and keep your job.

Did the Bronco's even get a turnover this year? They gave them up by the handful, but I don't think they ever got one themselves.

They went 8-8 but if you look at it realistically, they should have lost week 2 to the chargers, week 3 to the saints, they only beat the bucs by 3, they just about lost to the chiefs. It could have been real easy to be 4 and 12. If a few things went their way they would not have been 12-4, but if a few things didn't go their way they would have been 4-12.

Any chance Sproles can play QB as well? They are pretty good team but it is hard to pull for them with Philip Rivers on it.

I hate the chargers so much. They are the luckiest team in the league.

As much as I love the Colts if you can't convert a 3rd and 2 to win the game then you don't deserve to win the game. Hats off to the chargers.
