Something torn or ripped. Lots of possibilities with this crowd.

I understand the reference to ripped being drunk. That was one of the first things I thought of when I read the thread title but I haven't heard it refered to body building before.

Oh yeah, you betcha. I'm from So Cal, lotta body builders, they'd say of someone else, "Dude, he's RIPPED!" My son hung out with them.

definitely a rock climbing label as well, usually reserved for the power boulderers and sport climbers.
