Ditto! I should have mentioned it earlier - all of my shots are slightly Lucis'd - it brings out great detail in the snow.

But now I think it should be banished.

...the snow, not the filter.

If it makes you feel any better, I share your fate. More snow coming in tonight and through tomorrow. >:(

Victoria has more snow than the North Pole. I think Santa's looking for a new home.

Once we get the kids home from work tomorrow it can pretty much do what it wants for a couple days. But then it MUST GO. Or else!

We are supposed to get 6 - 8 inches over the next 36 hours. Which totals to 29 inches of snow in 7 days. I know the cold sucks but I am looking forward to those January days that are just too cold for it to snow.

Reminds me of a couple of lines from a 'Spirit of the West' song:

"Come on up to the frozen north. Where it's winter all year 'round. Just a stones throw from the arctic. Where the sun is always down."

I don't know what you all are complaining about. I just drove from Northern New Hampshire to South-Western Wisconsin (two days of 11 hours driving, not counting the two breakdowns we had). Two days of driving while pulling a U-Haul. We actually went from bad weather to worse weather. It's snowing right now, but I still think it's pretty. Then of course I have 4-wheel drive. I'm also sitting in my hotel room while my daughter is playing in the in-room hot tub. I'll probably take her to the pool in a little while.

Welcome to Wisconsin, where abouts are you?

And that reminds me of a classic description of the town of Leadville, Colorado, a place with "ten months of Winter, and two months of mighty late in the Fall."

That would be a Spin Skid and a Slide away.

I hear you! I can deal with the cold, however it's very hard on the heating bill, but the snow is a real pain.

After shoveling another 3-4 inches of fresh snow this morning, I went in to warm up and the power went out. ...then came back on. ...then went out again. ...then came back on. Losing power for even a day or two would really add to that authentic "Donner Party" experience. At least I have a whole pile of woodies to build a fire with.

Are you suggesting burning your own village just to stay warm?

ARGHHHHHH!!!

It rained some this morning. Not hard, just enough to get the snow falling off the trees and the eaves dripping. Hubby managed to get the driveway down to bare pavement.

Now I can barely see across the street, it's snowing that hard! Bigggg, fat, wet flakes that, in 15 minutes, have already made our street treacherous. Hey, I wasn't THAT bad this year to deserve THIS!

Oh, and our power went out this morning too, for about an hour. My son suggested I cook one of the turkeys today, just in case... :)

we are supposed to get some rain Friday and Saturday joined with warmer temps, I fear it is going to cause a major mess here, Posible flooding in some areas. Will be nice to get rid of some of the snow though.
