Don't do it....I got my phone all gunked up with tape and foil...and didn't get any new signals.
I think my problem is that I used WalMart brand foil. I'm trying it again with Renolds Wrap.

I'm assuming you're joking - this is a big fat hoax! Look through his other videos, they're all pisstakes. |

i also wrap the ethernet cable around one of my belt loops so i don't lose my laptop, the cable is also taped to the salad bowl, and i wear the bowl on my head. the aluminum foil helps keep snow from sticking to my hat, and acts as a reflector.
it's damn hard to answer the phone though.

So I shouldn't try with the better brand of foil?

One must be cautious when boosting the WiFi signal too much. It will radiate through your entire body just like x-ray. I did it myself and things did not turn out well. Here's my last self portrait after living with super-strength WiFi for over a year. |

LOL, does this resemble anything? I thought, yeah, it resembles a sad attempt at winning the science fair. I had no idea I had the capability of building my own satellite just by using everyday household items. This guy should market himself as the Martha Stewart for the technology world! |

IMO a stainless steel mixing bowl with chopsticks to suspend the cell over it would be much more effective and look cooler than the tacky wrinkled tinfoil... |
