Hi Guys,
So I haven't been around much lately because I have been doing so much commercial (non artsy) photography, but I just invested in the Canon 135mm 2.0L and I have gone completely crazy. I almost never do anything besides portraiture, but this lens just LOVES flowers so I have been expanding.
I would love some comments on my new work with it:
Thanks!
Claire

Isn't it an amazing lens. I seem to remember telling you about it in a forum post a while back. :D
Very nice work. This is probably my favorite lens.

Hahah you told me. 50mm is such a great focal length and I use it almost daily, but 135mm is so completely different from anything I have used before. Fun stuff!

Great shots Claire! And a great lens. Bought one recently myself and I'm particularly happy with the shallow DOF for portraits.
You'll get a lot of fun out of this one. |

Nice photos. So basically this would be your dedicated outdoor portrait lens? It would seem impossible to shoot with that indoors unless it's a huge space. Now the Canon EF 50mm f1.2L I might have to steal from you. :P

Definitely my NEXT purchase I have used it before and was really impressed with it.
Enjoy it, you lucky girl.

Hey I saw that lens for sale on Ebay for 25 bucks just a few minutes ago. I'll try to find the link. |

I like this lens because it compresses distance. And, it's relatively fast.

HAH! RUN AWAY!!!!
Yeah actually the headshot I did in my garage and I basically pressed myself up against the wall to get as far as possible. I have actually had a fair amount of success using it with the studio because I can open my garage door and go out into the driveway to get more distance. Still, I think I prefer my 50mm indoors.
