Like alot of people, my iphone is now to become my point and shoot camera so i don't have to lug around my huge camera everywhere...like to friends parties and such. But of course you always get that low-res photo that you would like edit or use different effects. So I'm curious....

What iphone photography applications do you have or use? What does it do (people always forget to explain that part)? How much and would you recommend it?

Its so bothersome searching through all the applications that some of us may miss some gems out there.

I don't have an iPhone, but the New York Times had a blurb about a $2 app that produces a tilt-shift/miniature effect. It looked pretty cool, but I can't remember the name of it.

Well, the sad thing is that the iphone camera kind sucks--but there are some cool apps:

Photogene--editing software
Camerabag--applies preset "looks" from various camera types or styles to images
Night Camera--use it in daytime, too: it uses the accelerometer to sense when the phone is motionless, fires the shutter--kinduva poor man's VR
SPPhotoFix--another editing tool
Fototimer and Camera Timer Lite--self timers
TiltShift--mimics a Lensbaby

Also, you can see this thread and this one, too.

I use my iPhone 3G every now and again for when I need a quick photo and I don't have any of my other cameras around.

I simply take the photograph with my iPhone and then when I download it to my computer, I use Photoshop CS3, just like any other image that I wish to post-process.

Am I missing the point of your question?

There is also

PhotoCalc--not for the iphone camera itself, but a generally useful tool (DOF calc, etc) for your other cameras :-)

Some people prolly don't have any of the iphone software...but it's like with your other camera...sometimes you get a lens or other editing software to make your photos better...just trying to see what others are out there using for the iphone.

I use Snapture sometimes, but not as often as I thought I would. Keep in mind that this software only works on iPhones that have been jailbrokened.
