I've got an old Kodak strap that started out on my Yashica TL-Electro X, then to my Canon A-1. I still have the aluminum screw top film containers from back in the day, in the elastic holders. I've had it for 30 years now.

Still use it. Once in a while people will ask what the cannisters are for. Depending on my mood...

 1. I smuggle dope in there.
 2. I put the pictures in there when the memory cards are full.
 3. Film

Actually the one on my 1DMKIII is about a year and 2 months old, and the one on my 1DMKIIn is brand new as the previous owner never opened it. I carry two cameras with me all the time so one is always tossed over my shoulder.

Lucky for me the strap serves a purpose, and fashion statement isnt it for me. And yes it says Canon Digital.......of course I've been trying to order ones with my Logo on them but havent found a place to do them yet.

well fine by me. but i find the quality and comfort of the canon straps lacking. otherwise i'd be using the three i have...

and my 20 year old strap has been serving it's purpose for about that long...

if you knew me - you'd know fashion statements aren't my thing either ;)

		| While we are on the subject. Has anyone used or does use one of the Crumpler straps? They look comfortable. Also, I have mine over my shoulder alot so I want one that doesn't slip off as easily as the Nikon one that came with the camera. |

Why use a strap when you can carry around a special mount, instead?

At the risk of repeating myself from a thread we had a couple of weeks ago:

I have this strap now, and I adore it!!!

Check out his demo video to really appreciate how handy it is.

I have a D ring on the bottom of my tripod shoe (Bogen/Manfrotto) so the strap clicks into that very easily.
If I'm carrying my elephant (the 70-200), I have the shoe on the tripod collar of the lens for better balance.

A few weeks back I was shooting some petroglyphs, and 2 guys with small P&Ss walked over to me and said "thats a big camera" as they walked away, one said to the other I remember using film myself.
 New straps.
