Previously I sent my photos to digitalmax for printing but now they have been taken over by snapfish I need to find somewhere else because
1. their new website is terrible to use (esp in Chrome)
2. they have increased charges
3. everyone I talk to says bad things about snapfish

Can anyone suggest a good printing service?

howdy, i asked this very same question about a week ago.

Basically, all printing places in NZ seem to be pretty crappy so i'm using my guys from UK and having them shipped over here. Works out great, I just have to wait 5 days before they get here.

Try //www.photowarehouse.co.nz. I know these people will print up to building poster size & they definetly cater for pro photographers. Personally I wouldn't worry to much about the shop on Queens Street. Go to the mega store on Great North Road in Ponsonby. They have an amazing selection of studio gear there too. Sorry Tez they don't have that brand of umbrella your looking for but they have just about anything else.

Who in the UK do you use and is it cost effective to ship them to NZ?

sounds like an opportunity for you to get a wide format printer and set up your own little printing place...

They're called DS Colour Labs. They're a great bunch of guys who i've used for years in UK. And yeah, they are cost effective. They have fantastic rates (45p for an 8x12 print)and the shipping is usually 7-8 GBP depending on how many i'm shipping. That shipping is about $20 NZD, which is the same price as 1 8x12 at my local (crap) Smileez place. SO yeah, for me, it's cost effective :)
