Their reseller ratings look decent. And a search in the threads revealed almost 3 year old posts.

I am wondering if anybody had any recent buying experiences with them?

Are they reliable for online shopping? They do seem to have some good deals.

Yep, I bought battery grip for the Pentax K200D from them. Good price, fast delivery and good customer service.

Thanks Steve.

They seem like a safe store. I got cautious because some of their prices are too low.

Yep, I can understand your caution. The battery grip worked out at half UK price, even with shipping. Also there was no duty or tax to pay, so that was a bonus.

Yeah, they are quite reliable, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them. I bought a camera kit a couple of years back, quick shipping, good prices, no issues whatsoever.

I've bought from both, off of Amazon. No problems.

I live very close to their brick and mortar store and buy from them almost exclusively. Besides very good prices I got to know their sales staff pretty well and they are a great bunch of guys who bend over backwards to satisfy their customers. Ex. I've bought manufacturers' refurbished lenses from them, which are not guaranteed to come with their respective hoods, but they've always made sure the hoods came with the lenses I bought. In addition, I've always heard good things said about them from people on other forums. I wouldn't hesitate buying from them if you've got a good deal from them.

I bought my first digital (Olympus C-3000 Zoom) from them in 2002, I think. Arrived promptly, as described.

I bought my Gary Fong lightshere from there. I love these guys and I think they are awesome.

Check out their Ebay auctions too

Cameta Camera is a small shop just down the street from my house in NY. It is a great shop, I just picked up my D90 from them (in person) a few days ago for less than any seller I found on Amazon.

I'm not sure how they keep the prices so competitive, but they have been around for a very long time (I bought my first Minolta from them when I was in photo class in college.).

I've purchased 3 cameras from them and had a very satisfying experience every time. Low pressure salesmen, helpful advice, in-shop repairs/service, etc.

Anyway, Highly recommended shop - whether 'Brick & Mortar' or through Amazon.com.

bought one thing from them on-line. It came broken unfortunately. The next day, a new one was at my house, no questions asked. They didnt even want me to send the broken one back, and asked that I just threw it away. Great seller IMHO

I bought my D80 from them a couple years back, it was a great price and speedy shipment. Then I just bought a gorillapod and extention tube set from last week; again, it was a great price and the items arrived in great condition in 4 working days.

Going there for around 6 years and always wind up back there... I just got my 40D there for UNDER what I could get it anywhere else. They like and take care of the equipment that is used as if it was their own. Great guys but with new warrantied equipment, I go with the lowest price from a reliable source....and always wind up back with them.

I have referred many to check their prices with them before purchase and everyone that deals with them more then twice usually feels as passionate. I only go to B&H if I have to and am always satisfied, but Cameta has a great LITTLE store that has almost everything.
