I took maybe 10 shots when I got the message. 10 minutes later and it still says the same thing. Its a sony a100. I took the battery out, took off the lens, put a different one on, and the same message.
Has anyone had this issue before? The instruction manual says to let the camera cool and resume taking pictures. What a help. Geeez.

Did you let Tim borrow it, by chance?
Sorry - couldn't help myself. Seems like quite an odd message for the camera... have you googled the exact error message? |

Of course - it seems to happen on the maxxum 7d when taking longer exposures - when it gave me the msg I think the longest was 5" |

3 seconds hardly seems excessive for astrophotography. 30 minutes perhaps, but 'overheating' after only 3 seconds? - Something sounds wrong there.
eta: 30 second shot using the same camera;

I read that too - this was something that was out of the ordinary - now I have to figure out if I'm fixing or buying new. |
