Interesting, esp the way they emphasise the 'biggest' aspect... So what do you think it'll be? MF lens? Some sort of AF? or even a zoom lensbaby? :)

To be honest, I can't imagine what else they can do with it. Ever since they released that movie-camera lensbaby, I see it used all the time on TV and in movies.
I suppose, taking off from your "zoom" comment, they might offer a Lensbaby that provides a different range than 50mm, and whatever slight adjustment from that you can get from the accessories.
Autofocus would be kind of antithetical, I think, to the whole raison d'etre of Lensbabiness...
Maybe a Lensbaby that is more view camera like, where you can get more tilt and shift?
Or maybe, it's a whole other new thing - not an "improved" Lensbaby at all, but a whole new fun lens with it's own purpose.
I really wasn't planning on staying up until 2 AM.... ;) |

Ok, this is getting cool.
I think the Control Freak lens with a few extra optics inserts would be fun.

| Looks pretty wicked and I now have something new to want. Sucks you have to buy one of the new lenses for all the new optic accessories to work, better start working on the Mrs:) |

I am so glad they are supporting more cameras now. Now I just need to convince my wife to let me buy one for my Sony.

| Bumping an old thread because I'm thinkng of getting a Lensbaby for Christmas. Do I want to splurge on the Composer or go for something more basic? Anyone have one of the new models? |

| The Composer is worth it - more control than the bendy-ier one (enabling you to get more than one shot with the same bend), but not Frankenstein-like like the 3G. That and a set of the optics give you a wide range of choices. |

Deb - you HAVE to get one of these for yourself - you with a Lensbaby - I'd pay to see that! |

The 10-22??? NEVER!! Sell your body or something first....
I'm very tempted.... (And thanks for the vote of confidence, Lisa!) |

| I went with the 2.0 not long ago. I couldn't justify the extra $200 to $300 it was going to cost for the newer models, simply for the control. I'm really happy with the decision in the end and have no regrets! :) |

Life's for living Deb - money can be replaced - the experience of owning a cracking lens can't - GRIN!
Meanwhile since I got my hands on the Canon 15mm Fisheye this past August I haven't used my 10-22mm once!
I LOVE my fisheye...
Now you can all return to talking about Lensbabies - smile! |

ooh, you snob Lisa, I got the SIGMA 15mm fisheye and tbh have not picked up my 20D for a year so the 10-22 is sort of Redundant.
And, Deb, I concur, you and the Lensbaby would be a heady cocktail ;) |

I have the basic lensbaby, and I am happy.
I consider it more of a toy, a little fun thing to be used every now and then.
The newer ones are too serious for me, I'd rather spend that sort of money on something else.
On the other hand, I never know if I'll get a shot or not, it is very hit and miss, so if you need more certainty, you're better off with the others.

LMAO can't see that raising more than a few pennies Deb ;o)
And, before he starts getting you all to feel sorry for him, he could have had a Lensbaby by Christmas but he's being too silly to see a good deal, aren't you Andi? :-P ;o)

Oh you got me in one - SMILE~!
Now if I can just get my hands to enlarge and my upper body strength up I could get myself a 5D and use the Fishmeister to it's fullest capacity! |
