D300 and newer raw files won't open in anything older than CS3 |

D300 files will work in Elements 6 and newer - but you need the Camera Raw plugin |

If you are running CS2 or older you can always go to Adobe's website and download the Adobe DNG Converter, and then process the DNG files. I used to do that with a couple of different cameras. The alternative is to download the free trial of Capture NX and process the RAW files that way. That is the way I prefer to do my RAW processing now. I have found that Adobe CS3's lack of Camera profiles in Camera RAW does a relatively drab job. I hear that is changing in CS4 and Lightroom 2. I can't wait..

Did you manage to sort this out in time? I could PM you the camera raw file for either CS2 or 3. Just let me know.

I never figured it out, i just ran it through a freebe progam which converted it to jpeg without being able to adjust things.. the good thing was that I wasn't the photographer, so the pitures aren't bad.. haha
no creativity whatso ever, but they aren't bad. |
