This is the best day of my life...

Stolen Copy linked here

Some of you may remember my image Keepers At The Gate from the Double Take Challenge for all it's commercial value but I never expected it to be honored this way.

I won't make any long winded speeches because I'm a little choked up at the moment but I would like to thank my parents and to say without them this would never have happened. Thank you...and to all my fellow photographers who have also had images stolen, thank you all so much...without you and your guidance I would have had nothing to strive for.

I'm forever grateful.

That's been up for a year and a half, and faved 21 times... Just think, for 18 months or so you've been yearning for what you already had :-)

R.

BTW, that's JPG magazine, they are serious folks. Write to them and complain about the theft...

I don't see where it's the same photo. There are small heads behind the loose arms. Is this an outtake from your other shots? Very similar shots, but I don't think it is the same photo, even cropped.

Was this taken at some exhibit? While they are definitely images of the same subjects they surely are not the same image.

Two different shots. Look at the rivet/bolt behind the fox's right front leg. On yours there is no gap. On the other one there is a gap. Also the distance from the tail to the yellow steel behind it. Also the small heads are in two different positions. Maybe you should remove your comment on his image?

I would say they saw your shot and took their own angle on it. This, to me, is a higher form of flattery trying to emulate what you shot.

Congrats!

eta: And no theft involved! ;-)

I agree with the previous posts its a different shot. Was one of your outtakes posted some where, the animals are in simiar spots but the doll heads are clearly different.if it was an out take then congrats on the theft ;-)

You know...I did have a few versions posted in other spots like my Flicker account but it is different and that was a while back. Though I did ask the seller if I could move the heads around a few ways because I wanted the eyes showing. Bummer but who knows.

Geez...now I have to give back my award. LOL
