Hrmph, I can't get any of the frogs around here to cooperate. I saw one on our deck the day we moved in, and haven't seen him since. I HEAR them all the time, but they tease me and shush when I get close.

I even had to drive around one on the road one night but when I went back out with the flashlight, was he still there? Nooooo!

Hmmm... maybe frogs ARE the new water drops. After all, I could never catch one of those, either! ;)

I have 6 boys... An excellent source of getting close to frogs. They seem to get them in their pockets, lunch boxes and various jars :) But here in Norway we don't see too many of the really pretty colorful guys but instead the fat, mud colored guys with warts. Not exactly ribbon subjects!

They usually hide during the day...under wood, beneath the ground, in water pipes etc. They come out at night. We have loads of Green Tree Frogs and Cane toads around our house...much to my dismay. But here they are considered a good thing....if you have frogs then you don't have snakes...as snakes eat the frogs...so while there are frogs...there are obviously no snakes around. That doesn't explain the snake that was lying next to our toilet that I was sitting on at the time. He soon had his head chopped off....and yes...he was venomous.

oh I sure hope that snakes don't become the next 'frog' ... I'd much rather have a frog around than a snake ... any day of the week I'll take frogs over snakes ...
