I can't open my raw files with CS in my new computer with microsoft Vista...(I could in XP) Any suggestions or known solutions?

Did you install the RAW plugin that supports your camera on the new computer?

You mean the Nikon picture software?

You said you can't open them in CS. There's a RAW plugin file for CS that gets updated to support new cameras as they come out. Did you install the one that supports your camera?

You say you have CS, but you don't say which version

here's a link to Adobe's updates for Photoshop for Windows so you can get the latest Camera Raw importer

I know a guy that blames Vista for every single problem he has with his software. If his dinky photo editing software or 4 year old printer doesn't work in Vista, he blames Microsoft for a bad product.

I try to tell him that it is not Microsoft's responsibility to have every piece of software and/or every printer ever created to correctly function in Vista. If a company wants their new or very old software to work with Vista or wants all of their printers to work with Vista, then they have to write the driver software to make it function.

He seems to think that when a new OS comes out it is Microsoft or Apple that has to write code for EVERY SOFTWARE TITLE AND EVERY PRINTER EVER CREATED.
