My remodel of a detached garage into a studio is moving rapidly now.
I stated shooting in there in July and was slowly working at putting up walls, insualtion, wiring, furnace, etc. Yesterday the drywall guys left and I got the primer coat on.
Today I will finish the painting and and start on installation of the flooring.

It's really starting to look like something now that it's got a coat of primer on it! I should be back in the camera room by saturday morning and have the sales room done, except for furniture, by early next week. I've got the desk and computer but none of the other furniture yet.

I'll have to get some current pics. I think I have them on the wife's P&S but that's not handy.

Here is a shot of when I first started using the building and an exterior shot showing my windows. I LOVE my windows.

Must be nice to have so much space. Looks great! Good luck with all the work.

space is relative.
I was working out of my basement - 18x12 if I stood in the changing room and shot out from there, 7 foot ceiling, uneven floor, no windows. And the space was shared with framing, sales, storage, etc.

The new space, across the front left to right is 27 feet and the shooting area by the windows 13 wide (deep?) with 8' ceiling. Then straight back from teh garage door is the high key area, it's about 25 feet deep and around 12 or 13 wide too. The ceiling is still not as high as i'd like, but it's a finished ceiling unlike the basement that just had the exposed pipes and wires and such. And I do have a hailight recess built up between the joists. The concept is good but not sure how it will work out in practice. Still thinking of spinning the high key 180 degrees to put it against the garage door.
The sales room is moving to the new building but framing and such will stay in the basement.

Nice space to work with. The windows look good and gives that side of the building a business look. What are you going to do with the other half of space? Are you going to frame it in and put down flooring?

Nice!
