Hey guys,

It's that time of year again when family members want to spend some cash to feed my addiction.

Need some advice - 5 in 1 reflectors - good/bad/I've got a better idea

If good - what size do I need for portraits?

Any recommended Ebay sellers would also help.

Thanks in advance.

yah, they're good. Handy to have around but dont get the massive ones (40 inch or so) because theyre just too damned big i find.

I have a 36 in oval one and it's ok for studio work but I wouldn't use it for pro work on the road.

Why? Too big or not big enough?

I have 2 and I love them. I have an oval one and a circle one, both are over 40". Sometimes I wish I had a bigger one but that's because I like to bounce light off it in my studio.

Ripping. I bought mine online at amvona.net and I find the material used is very thin. I would think that the pro ones are more durable. Also the zipper on mine keeps getting caught in the material surrounding it and that's very time consuming, to say the least. I may have gotten a lemon or just got what I paid for at 25 bucks.

I have three: a 36 in oval, a big circle one and a 60 inch oval. Always get an oval, the circles rip more easily I have found. I love my giant oval one, it makes SOO much light!
