Doesn't seem like much of a sale to me. I've seen prices lower than this.

No sorry in the US. But can't people in the UK buy from the US and have it shipped? or is it not worth the charges?

With the exchange rate the way it is right now, the shipping charges and customs duty, I would think (I haven't priced one for a while) that there would not be much advantage to buying from the US. Earlier in the year when the exchange rate was more favourable to us Brits, it would have been worth it. Right now, it's marginal.

ETA. Current USD pricing for body only ($2,689 including a $300 rebate) from B&H translates to £1,757 at today's exchange rate and that is before shipping and duty and without the extra battery and cf card.

Oops, corrected price typo.

That's crazy...

And you would even pay double taxes wouldn't you? Duty from B&H and Duty on import? Sounds like a bunch of Doody I mean Duty to me.

Yes, right now it's not so great, but when it was almost $2 to £1 (almost) it was quite a good deal.

ETA. OP sorry to hijack your thread! That is a very good deal.

I don't want to correct you but I had a look at the site. I saw this:

CLEARANCE SALE NOW ON - 25% OFF EVERYTHING IN STOCK EXCLUDING DIGITAL SLR & FREE UK DELIVERY!

The key word for me here is EXCLUDING sorry:(

Still if you hold off until next week the price should drop a little since VAT is coming down to 15%.

Hi
You place the items in your basket and the 25% gets deducted in your shopping basket, i tried it and the D700 came up at that price..
