I have a folder of images that I want to put a logo on and then resize the images. Here is the problem I am encountering.

All the images are different sizes and not all the images are a portrait or landscape style. I am dragging the logo onto the image and placing it where I want it but each time I do this the logo is not exactly in the same location on each image. I could create a batch file to do this for me but again the logo will not end up in the same location for each image and even then the logo would not be able to be imported on to the image.

Intead of creating a batch file to resize all the images first then creating a new Action to place the logo in the right place is there a way I could do this all and say have the logo placed x amount of pixels from the edges no matter the layout of the image?

BTW I am using CS2

So you want to.......

Put a logo 30px from the right and 30px from the bottom of each photo (30px is just an example)...
...is this correct?

Yes that is correct.

So basically a batch file or "action" would :

open your photo
resize to a pre-determined percentage
place your logo in a designated spot on your photo
save the photo
close photo

Then do this to all photos in a folder?

This is likely something that can be done but I can't fool with it until tonight. Someone else may beat me to it.

This might be what you are looking for - works great for watermarking, there's no reason you can't do copyright/logo with it as well.

Quicktime video here

Link to both video and the actual action download here - Go about 2/3 way down the page under the CS2 Tutorials (26th tutorial listed - watermarking)

Hope this helps!

Please post in the thread when you have a solution. I'll work on it tonight but won't if you already have it beat.

This was very helpful. This is EXACTLY what I wanted to do. FIT IMAGE was where my error was, I have never used it before but I knew there was a way to do it.

BTW this guy is weird... I think he could have made this about 10 minutes shorter.

LOL! Yes, he is very weird, he has some really good tutorials though, and I like the fact that there are videos - sometimes I just need to SEE it done so that I can really "get" it.
