I can get the 430EX flash for under $200. Seems like a nice value and should do all of what I need in the near future. Anyone have an opinion of whether the 430EXII has enough improvement to warrant an extra $63? Looks like the main difference, as far as I can tell, is a slightly faster recycle time and a quick release shoe mount.

Didn't they play around with the controls some? Seems like I remember reading that. Generally, when they change the controls it's for the better because the earlier model is sucky in that department. I may be thinking of something else, though. If there ARE control changes, I'd say it's worth it. Controls are the entire reason I upgraded from an SB-800 to the SB-900. Literally, my entire reasoning was for the switch to go back and forth between normal and wireless function without entering a menu. To each his own, though.
