I've been on this site for a long time; I believe in the power of members. I have joined causes and helped with many personal issues, but now, on a good and positive note, I need your help.
My band is a group of friends and we have played together for years, original music. We are called FARMERTAN. We are similar to Guided by Voices or the Replacements. We are in a contest, as described here.
âGOLDIEâS GARAGEâ returns to Little Stevenâs Underground Garage on Friday (November 21). Hosted by Genya Ravan, this edition of the program gets down to business. The past 12 monthly winning bands go head-to-head in a knockdown, drag-out battle to determine which 3 groups get to playâ¦liveâ¦in front the Underground Garage listeners and claim the title of the âbest unsigned garage band in the landâ. The finals will take place on Saturday, January 17th at Pianoâs in New York City.
The champion gets a deal with Wicked Cool Records. Tune in and tune up Friday night for this very special edition of âGOLDIEâS GARAGEââ with Genya Ravan at 9 PM Pacific and Midnight on the East Coast.
You don't need sirius radio. Anyone can sign up and vote. You have to register(free) and then they send you an email. Then you click on the link and vote for Farmertan.

| oh yeah- if we make it to the finals; I would love to see a bunch of dpc'ers there. Cameras and all. |

Whoa... That page isn't easy to read for these old eyes, and the path to registration is a little obscure, but I persevered and voted. Farmertan is in second place, a fair distance behind first and in a virtual lock with 3rd; DPC SUPPORT IS NEEDED!

Gentleman, LOL, more like redneck, scholar is a word I have to spell check..
But I do like music, and I like this song. The song âSimpaticoâ (link above) has a retro British invasion type backbone with a modern edge, kind of a refreshing change.

I am glad that people are responding; listening and voting;
We have been playing for years and years together. We feel we have paid our dues.
We have paid our dues , as other bands have put it, through the year 2015.
I am shamelessly asking for votes; but we have such a great community here that who could resist?
