We have a dusting of snow this morning here, too! Not very much and it'll be gone very soon but a dusting! And while driving home from the airport, I hit an area where big fat wet flakes were being blown about horizontally.... something about winter, I think...
Terry, glad to hear your mom is doing better; Susan, glad to hear your calendars are ready (I'm waiting for mine); and Kelli, not glad to hear you got another DQ.... simple borders from now on for challenge entries for you!! |

Someone ( SteveJ?) wanted pictures of the Pope. This is the best I could do. Slowly adding more to the portfolio as I go.... |

I went by the office and my calendars were in. I used mpix. Cover lettering/lettering in general is very amateurish (not sure how much of that was customizable - went with what they had) but paper quality and print quality is pretty nice. I may try to use a different vendor next time, though.
More shots from Rome are here.

I have finally emerged back in to the land of the living, have uploaded my photos of Rome from my cards and begun to sort them.
I have only processed a few so far, but will try and get some more up over the next couple of days.
The River Tiber is a rather interesting pea soup green - not terribly appealing, it has to be said! The numerous steps down to the River are all adorned with graffiti, which I rather liked . We saw a a few buskers, although nothing like as many as you would in York, and this accordion player was certainly one of the better ones.
These statues were two of many outside what I took to be the Italian equivalent of a Supreme Court building - the guard certainly came out quickly shaking his head and pointing at Melethia's camera when she tried to take a quick shot through the gates! Final photo for tonight is one of Deb waiting for the arrival of a much needed cappuccino! |

What do you want done with it? I might be able to make some touch-ups.

Just want the pup to stand out more from the background. Without losing the detail or sheen of her coat and face if possible.

Great pictures Sara! I'll go through and do some commenting tomorrow. I just got home from the most hillbilly wedding I've ever been to. LOL!! It was for my cousin Darrell and his now wife Stephanie. I'll post some pictures soon, but I'll forewarn you first. It was at a gun club. There were dead deer or fish on the walls about every two feet. And, they were dressed for the occassion. I kid you not! My family was either very amused or very offended by the decor. ROFL! I was one who was amused. The whole thing was planned by her family with no input from our side at all. He has a child from a previous relationship and they also have one together. That's who the two kids will be in the pictures. For the record, I was not the photographer, I just took snaps.
eta: Here's a link to the folder, I put a few in it so far... wedding

It looks like it was a great deal of fun, Kelli, unusual setting notwithstanding. Bride and groom look very happy which is the big thing. And his son looks a lot like your son. The younger child is adorable, too!

I thought the bride/groom everyone would be in camouflage and they'd drive off afterwards in a rattly ol pickup with a field-dressed deer sprawled across the hood - that's how they'd (probably) do it in New Brunswick! :-) |

Interesting idea. Guess the cats don't mind! |
That's what they do here in the US, too, which is why my cat is missing the top of one ear. She was trapped as a feral on the old prison grounds but while recuperating from her spay she didn't try to kill anyone so they decided to put her up for adoption. To me, who at the time had never owned a cat before and was bringing her into a home with big dogs and small children. She hid behind the toilet for DAYS ;-) She is 16 or 17 now, and sitting next to me purring loudly as I type, thinking that surely my time would be better spent getting her breakfast. |

ROFL!! I meant the dead animals were dressed. But there were trucks in the parking lot with stickers like "Piney Power" (which refers to the NJ pinelands and is very redneck) and rifle racks and stuff. I didn't take any pictures of them because I didn't want to look obvious. She comes from that part of NJ and at times, she's a bit strange. LOL! |
