Okay, I just want to make sure I understand this correctly.

I import my pictures using Adobe bridge. I open up DPP and select the image I want to work with. Do I need to copy a duplicate before I make any RAW adjustments? Or am I okay to make my RAW edits, convert and save, and not save the changes made to the RAW image itself. If I did save the changes, I notice there is a revert to shot settings.

Thanks for any clarification.

Your RAW file is still a valid original, even with adjustments applied, because the data in a RAW file is not modified.

Okay, just wanted to make sure if I ever get a winning shot (someday) that it isn't DQ'd due to my misunderstanding. Thanks!
