I somtimes use Microsoft Photo Draw.
If you have MS office it comes with it.

It has numerous options for all different types of printouts.
8x10, 5x7, wallets and etc.

Although "lines in the print out" is mostly likely because of a clogged nozzle in your printer (there should be a utility that installed with your printer driver to allow you to print a "Nozzle Test" and to clean the nozzles), my favorite program for creating high quality print outs at any size (including multi-page posters) is Qimage.

russi,

I cannot answer questions that are specific to your printer, however there should be a booklet or users guide with a troubleshooting section. I get lines in prints when I forget to set the printer for photographs. If I leave it on text, I get lines. Also if I print on paper vs. a high quality photo paper (I prefer glossy), then that can influence my outcome as well.

I use the HP utility that came with my printer for printing photos - works great. When I get lines, it's because the inkjets (or head, nozzles, etc.) need to be cleaned, as Eddy mentioned below.

Try opening your printer toolbox (there may be a way to do this in your system tray (lower right corner near the time), the toolbox should be running in the background if the printer is on) and performing a clean.
