Yes. after debating for over a month, I finally just ordered the Sigma 70-300mm DG APO Macro for Canon from Amazon.com.

Here is the lens's page on DPC.

I had my eyes on the Canon 70-200 f/4 non IS one, but dont have enough money saved up yet. Moreover, I want to grow into better lenses with my skills and dont want to jump into the L series yet.

I am very excited...wish me luck guys:-)

I have that lens, and I have been really impressed with it - bang for bucks you get a huge amount. I upgraded to the canon 100-400L, but still sometimes use the 70-300 - indeed I am taking it with me to Rome tomorrow!

You won't be disappointed, the Sigma is a fine lens and real value for money. It compares well with the Tamron 70-300mm.

Enjoy it:))

I too had that lens (well, the pre-DG version) and I liked it very much. I found it to be sharp even at 300mm.

Wow. Great pictures!

After reading many many reviews, I am kind of expecting it to be soft in teh 200-300mm range.. but I also know that most people dont like to use tripods when needed, so part of the softmess could be that.

Cant wait to try it on...

Enjoy the new lens when it arrives. I've been trying to decide between these two lenses as well. Good thing is my christmas bonus is coming so I'm pretty much set on getting the 70-200 L.
