... and I'm very excited. I have a feeling that my life is about to descend into the never ending quest for strobist perfection.

Anyone else got these things? Fans? Critics?

I have them. They served me well for 8 months but just upgraded to Pocket Wizards. I had one receiver that was very susceptible to noise and would fire at random times (without being given a signal). It was a minor annoyance. Otherwise they worked well.

I bought the 16-channel version (I had the V2s first and through they were crap). I modified the Rx's with PC plugs and added an antenna to the Tx, which made the whole system much more dependable and impressive. I have no intention of upgrading to PocketWizards; they're overpriced and too large. My eBay radio slaves perform just as I need them to and if I need to mod them again in the future, I can.

hit and miss I have them and added a wireless network card antena to the transmitter. saving up for pcket wizards as they are more reliable. Be prepared to do a little modification to you trigger to get it to work semi reliably.
