not an outtake...but the actual submission.
I received a comment (and knew it as I submitted), but is there a way in Basic that I could have toned down the redness in his skin?

I think you are allowed to use the color balance tool in basic editing. Using that tool you could have reduced the amount of red, if you thought necessary.

thanks...I was afraid to do anything and mess up the rules...

This is darn near straight out of the camera
