Frankly I love Jeb's way of putting things in his usual, mild, understated manner:

The score fell off a little.....but it's waaaaaaaay better than anything I've ever had after twelve hours of voting.
There are a few really extraordinary entries, so there's not telling how I'll finish, but I will be ecstatic if I get a 7+ and/or a new PB!
It's funny, but I had entered it early in the submission period, and I actually forgot about it until I flipped on the 'puter this morning. I 'bout fell off the chair. I'll remember that moment for a looooooooooong time! LOL!!!
I'm so happy I feel like I'm gonna pop!

Nah! Mary's done it for a long time and I believe that FL can do it, too.
Really, anyone who feels like it could do it if they already have the info gathered and collated.......although why you'd want to take on that much work is beyond me! LOL!!!
I think this might be a good time to give a hearty "Thank You! to Meyers & Mary for their hard work.

Yes, it's a script. FL canNOT do it... something about separation of powers... I don't know it's in the Constitution somewhere. meyers and Mary are the only ones... I think that makes them the legislative branch. krnodil is in the judicial branch... look out! |

Still working, if you can believe that *lol*.
Almost 3 months at my job, and still loving it.
Wish I could say that hubby is loving his job, but I'd be telling a falsehood. He's not loving it, but he's managing, and he's still there, not having blown the place to Timbuktu yet.

hey there Lea! Glad to hear you still love your job, sorry hubby doesn't like his...but I'm pretty sure everyone's worked at least one job they truly hated just so they could pay the bills. I worked for someone so nasty I was basically having panic attacks just driving to work, anticipating her trips to the barn during which she'd scream at us for no reason. Basically she was using my coworkers and I as her venting mechanism for her fights with her hubby.
Took me awhile to come to my senses, but all the time I was there, I acted as professionally as possible. When I finally walked out, it was because she was trying to screw me out of a paycheque which I needed for BOTH rent and brakes for car.
Now, 18 mths later, she sends me a 'feel sorry for me' email cause her mother-in-law died. She especially mentioned reaching out to 'friends whom I have not heard from in some time' ie yours truly.
So I sent my condolences. And haven't heard from her since.
Ok gone wandering waaaaaayyyy off topic here, and I know you have a family, so our situations are quite different.
But in lieu of things - *NEWS FLASH ONTARIO NOW A HAVE-NOT PROVICE* - are things really that bad at hubby's work? |

I don't think so, honestly. He likes the people he's working with - which can make even the worst, most mundane job tolerable.
But he has done nothing except work in the auto sector since he was fresh out of high school (which, admittedly, is not THAT long ago) and now he's been thrust into a chemical processing plant. A place where he is the youngest staff member by a good 10 years at that, in an industry he has had no interest nor training in.
I think more than outright dislike for his job, he still just feels a bit overwhelmed by the enormity of the change from what he was doing.
He has only been there about a month, and isn't fully trained yet - he's only been allowed to do anything on his own during his last two or three shifts.
And the hours are hideous *lol* Not just for him, but for our entire family - a total PITA trying to plan anything.
