Just want to say hi. I just love all of the photos here. I don't know how I am not going to give them all high scores when I vote. I wish I could do better with my Sony, but it sucks. ;) I will try though until I get my new camera next year.
Thank from Agnes

Thanks for the shouts. I will do my best. I wont give to many comments though. I am pretty good with a "real" camera (not the Sony Cybershot) but I am not a teacher. ;)
Thanks from Agnes |

Thank you Linda. I am going to go do my first voting on the free study one. I see a lot of really great photos. Even though I think I am good, I see a lot here that is better. It's going to be a hard contest site but I will just do my best.

I don't think I can vote yet? It tells me to leave a comment and then vote but I don't see any way to vote. Am I supposed to leave a comment on each photo first? That would be a lot of comments. Any advise?
Thanks from Agnes |

Check out the HELP button
How does voting work?
When you go to the voting page, thumbnail images of all of the submissions for the current challenge are displayed, along with the vote (if any) you've given to that picture. To start voting on photos, click the first thumbnail. Then, rate each photograph on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the best. You may always stop and continue voting at a later time. You do not need to enter a photo in order to be able to vote.
I hope this helps you

It says I have to be a subscriber first. I wont do that until I get my new camera, but I did choose a lot of favorite photos from the study one. I will see what there is in the other contests.
Thanks from Agnes |

Welcome Agnes! You will learn an unbelievable amount about photography from this site, it's amazing. And we have a very colourful group of people here from all over the world. And if you ever feel that your photos or scores suck, feel free to scroll back through my portfolio to my early days here at dpc...:-)

Hello from Tennessee!! Welcome to DPC! May your photos be sharp and your colours be perfect!
Oh, and as a registered user, you should be able to vote on or submit to any of the open challenges. The member challenges require you to be a member before you can vote or submit but you can comment and view the images in voting :)
Have a happy day :) |

Hi Agnes! I used to live in Kentucky. It was THE most favorite part of my growing up years. We lived in Fort Knox. I met my soul mate best friend there, who to this day is my best friend. Last year, we met in Louisville and went back and hung out in our old stomping grounds. It was HEAVEN, and we're talking about next year doing it agin, only doing it in the fall. I think Kentucky is one of the most beautiful states in America.
Anyway. . .good luck in the challenges. Oh, and someone made a top 10 once -- I think even an honorable mention, with a cell phone camera. So dive in and take your abuse from these voters like the rest of us do (tee hee).
P.S. Where in Kentucky do you live? We have a few more of the dpc family in Kentucky.

Hello Tennessee and hello KY! Yes KY is great and beautiful. I love it here. I am in the Ghent area of KY. I dont travel that much. I have been to Louisville once or twice but am mostly a home town girl. I can't believe it with a camera phone they won? That is amazing. I do have an idea for smoke that my camera can do. I still have to read all the rules to first. I will try to see what I can do though and thanks for the information. I was able to vote on the challenges without the memberships and that was nice and I have a lot of favorites already to. Very great photography here and I can't wait to get started!
Thanks from Agnes |

Welcome to DPC. It is a great community and it really allows you many opportunities to grow as a photog.
Don't worry too much about the camera. What matters most is your eye for light and composition (and a steady hand or a steady tripod).
Good luck and hope to see you enter a challenge soon. |

Hi bassbone. My tripod broke. ;) Now I am left with a shaky hand and a camera-shaky camera. I guess I just have to hope and pray.
Hi Katmystiry from Louisville! It is nice out but the sun isn't in a good position for me. I am going to wait till later this evening or tomorrow to get my shot and again hope and pray. I have a good eye, but maybe only one. ;O
I will do my best!
