Morning Jeb, this is a great shot and I think it would have done very well with the regular crowd but I realize why you didn't.
I think you picked the wrong lense though:

Lens: Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED <<<< I have this lens as well and I love it but I've never got a 200mm shot with it :)

It's not the best shot in the world or even the best shot I've ever taken but I'm darn sure it's not a sub 5 photo. No matter how many times you enter and don't do well it's still hard to take when you know your shot is better then the rating you receive :(

| I have no idea how I'm doing in Free Study. I've vowed to keep scores off until the end of the year. Or longer, perhaps. :-) I don't suspect it's doing awesome, because my average is just sitting there. Depends on how much voting is going on in the other challenges. |

| I started off with a 5.9 in the FS, but it was dropping all day yesterday. Apparently it continued to drop overnight, I'm now at a 5.5. |

I am so incredibly happy that this is my third challenge in a row (cause I also have one with my -5 Street shot) in which I have a fave! Maybe dpcers are finally starting to appreciate my warped vision of the world?
And Thursday one of my dreams comes true...I get to shoot a smokin hot man with most of his clothes off...he's a friend who's a personal trainer/fitness model...and he's also willing to help me with a shot I wanted to do way back in May, a CK-Obsession type shot from the 80s... better go find my chastity belt! :-)

| I've got a fabulous new screen card for my fabulous new screen and now I'm sitting in an internet café because the connection all went up the Khyber during installation of said card. No FS and I have a shot for abandoned but no way to upload it... |

Must have been the kind thoughts and good wishes - I don't know what I did but persistent tinkering won the day and here I am.
I only wish the abandoned shot were of itself worth the effort, but it keeps the kettle boiling anyway... |

I've been a steady 4.8 in Street for a week, I'm sitting on a 5.8 with a fav in the FS, and I have a weird shot I really like that'll either be a 4 or a 6 for Abandoned......which I've had in since the beginning of the week.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! LOL!!!

I have two squirrel stories, not some may not want to read...
First one, I had to get up early in the morning (4am) to catch a plane for work, so I let the two dogs out and they came back in. One sleeps in a dog crate the other on the bed. Second story, I was letting my dogs back in from outside one sunny afternoon. I noticed, my one dog Zoe had a something in her mouth as she passed by proudly. Good hunting dogs that they are, I said drop it. Another squirrel fell on the floor, unfortunately this one was still alive. Sent both my dogs outside and once I came back in the squirrel fortunately was no longer moving. Thank goodness.
Currently the squirrel population in our backyard has been decimated, but we noticed some new residents trying to move in. All I can say, is my one dog is as fast as lighting. |
