This is regards to you last response to me on the Forums. First of all, let me say I'm flattered that you would think I could actually influence other's votes on the challenges. Like I said before, no one has that power just as no one should.
Second, telling me to shut my keyboard is a bit uncalled for, don't you think? I made a general comment to the other people about a certain challenge and how certain shots did not meet the specifications of said challenge. Now, either you have entered said challenge with actual money in your shot and your score is suffering as a result or you're just having a really bad day and decided that I would be the brunt of your stress and such. Either way, get over it, please. I have no, repeat NO, influence over the other voters and such.
You know, it's when people act like you do on the forums that make others walk away from the site which is a shame because it has a lot to offer and a lot to teach. But if those lessons come with acidic remarks and nastiness, well, people certainly aren't going to put up with that now, are they? Especially the ones who paid to be a part of the community.

I have no idea what happened in the original thread, and don't want to know. Maybe your response is warranted... but why are you giving this post it's own thread? Can't you pm Pitsaman and sort it out privately without highlighting it in the public arena? This thread seems a bit hypocritical and very aggressive and falls into all the things you have been pointing out. I would like to sugest that a site admin delete this thread.

I chose the Rant forum since it's a selected area to see.
But you are right Bobster, I got the message, I apologize and I'm shutting down my keyboard on this site for a while.

Deannda, please don't let some people, who choose to bitch about their scores and accuse you of trying to sway the votes, make you leave this site. I personally have found your arrival to this site a great addition. You give good comments, with lots of insight, and have been a very active participant. I've seen great improvement in your work, and it would be a shame to see you go.
If you feel you need to take a break, then go ahead, but don't let it be because of a few grumpy people.

People need to take some responsibility for their actions. if they want to leave, or stay, it's THEIR personal decision. They can choose to blame others because they do not like those other people's opinion, but in the end, it's all up to them.

This voting time makes even calm people act strange.
How many times i have to say - do not vote my picture lower as 5
and if you did it already, i will find and kill you - (of course, you can exchange your vote and your life will conitinue till next challenge) |

Hee hee! I don't intend to be mean, but it's funny how people get worked up over something as simple as submitting photos to a web site and having other people evaluate them.
We all know that people put effort into composing their shot, making sure light is ok, focus is bang-on and that hours were undoubtedly spent adjusting colour, cropping, sharpening, etc. But ask yourself these questions before taking anything too personally.
Do comments received (to photos or posts) affect your job, positive cash flow or net worth? No.
Do comments received directly affect your health or that of your loved ones? No.
Do comments received affect the quality of your environment? No.
Do comments received directly affect your overall quality of life? They shouldn't.
Do comments received affect your self-worth? Again, they shouldn't, but we all get a little high when our pictures do well and somewhat bummed when they don't. That's life.
In other words, negative comments received are not worth much since they don't have much of a "real" impact. Their influence is peripheral at best and should be kept that way. Why kill a fly with a machine gun when it'll die by itself in a few days anyway?
Getting p-o'ed over comments left by people you don't even know and don't have do deal with if you don't want to is silly and a waste of time and vital energy.
That's it.

Deannda is not getting upset over her marks she is upset over the rude treatment by another on this site and personally I have received the same treatment for no reason from the same person as have a few others. It is unnecessary to treat people like that because you are having a bad day or whatever. If you disagree with what someone posted than you may answer that post in language that is suitable. If not then keep quiet.

I don't think it is fair or right to call out another person in the public forum.
If you think someone has done something to break the rules of use of this site, please contact site council or the administrators. Thank you.
This thread is being locked as it serves no useful purpose but to slam people.
