You saw The Monkees live?! I didn't remember that that ever happened.

So far, by a quick scan without actually counting, it looks like U2 and The Grateful Dead have the most mentions ... |

I've only ever been to 2 concerts so far; The Rasmus, who were very, very good and Josh Groban, in his only concert so far in Scotland. Best night of my life, no question.

CEJ-Cocteau Twins & Dead Can Dance, right on ;-) My list is most likely just as long as yours. Perhaps one day I'll figure out the list.

And dd1989, great thread. I just worked with Franz Ferdinand last night. Very cool guys!

 Go U2!!

Yes - I've seen the Monkees live (twice actually). Both times at the old Civic Arena in Pittsburgh. The second show - 4th row on the floor!!
This was the mid 80's. They had a comeback tour (openers were Gary Puckett, Herman's Hermits, etc.)

And I'm so jealous of those that have seen the original Pink Floyd lineup.

Well, it helps to have a brother in the music industry. I would hate to tell you how many of those concerts included backstage passes or were actually viewed from stage left or right. I have met probably 80% of the performers on the list. Believe it or not, besides Bowie, Tony Bennett was the coolest to hang out with. |

Both in the same weekend in Boston. DCD was an absolutely incredible show. They played for about 2.5 hours and not a single second was dull or uninteresting. They put out a video of the same tour I saw them on, but none of it was filmed in Boston (as far as I know) but if you see the DVD, basically the same show.

Used to be into both. I saw Manson in a club that held maybe 200 people back in 1998 I think. A very interesting act indeed. An all ages show that really shouldnt have been.

Tool on the other hand was just an awesome concert. I really enjoy their music - just wish their lyrics were a bit different nowadays.

As much as I'd still love to see him live now, I don't think the show/performance could compare to the Antichrist Superstar days, he had so much zeal then, even during Holywood. I think he's mellowed out a fair bit since. Much as I love him with the pinstripe suits, the short hair and the new make-up, I still prefered him in ripped stockings and waist corsets with lipstick smeared all over his face. :)
