Annnddd...looks my scores are back in their usual range...*sigh* but the high of starting on a 6 in Wildlife was definitely worth it! :-)

I'm quite happy with this since this is a really weak subject for me...

Ain't that the part of the dog that starts all the problems? |

OK so the other end is known to give problems, but mostly to those who ask for them... |

So, I have a shot for Motion Blur ready, but I know it won't score well, but I think it's a fun shot. Just tell me to enter it anyways please. Thanks!
;)
(ie. tell me its okay to suck, I guess I need a paradigm shift still)

Bought an ultra-cheapy lighting setup/lghtbox from Hedonics online, I know it's probably not going to do muc but should be way better than my current cheap lighting setup and lightbox, lol! So I think it's already arrived at local post office, will get it tomorrow, may reshoot $$$ with it. If not then will go for Motion blur. |

Edited to change the whole scope of the message.
I'd like C&C on this portrait of a friend of mine's daughter in her Halloween costume if some of you'd be up for it.

I decided not to run it in the FS, but I'm curious as to impressions.

I'm getting real excited and antsy, I haven't pushed the update button in quite a while and I am so excited to do the challenge thing again, I have missed it a lot.
I was wondering if anyone who is not voting on the Motion Blur challenge would help me decide to do the black and white version of my shot or the color? Just send me a PM.

I think it looks pretty good, Jeb - you NAILED the black background. Too bad she was not looking up (or at least level) instead of down. The white balance looks just a TAD warm. Assuming that circle around her eye is makeup and not a editing selection of yours, I can't see any other faults with it ...

Thanks!
I actually kind of like the weird coloration......it's actually dead-on (pun intended) 'cause she was wearing this weird make-up to give herself a sallow, zombie-like look. She did quite a good job with it.
Her looking down is kind of typical of her shy nature......which is kind of interesting considering what an outrageous extrovert her mother is.
I showed this to her mom who pretty much melted.......I managed to capture the essence of this young lady to a certain extent to those of us who know her......I was curiouis to the impressions of strangers.
That's why I thought I'd throw it out here......it doesn't get any stranger than here.....LOL!.....8>)

I have a CS2 photoshop question.
Is there a way to copy from one spot in the image to another? Like cloning but not using the round brush. In other words, can I select an area with the lasso tool and copy a color from another part of the image into that area? I'm sure it can be done but I just don't know how to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks |

Yeah ... you captured her shyness ... that is for sure ... Congrats on capturing the girl's attitude and disposition. So glad her mom liked it.
