hey I have a question.. I have 15 days to renew, which isn't costly as we all know. but I was wondering if your not a paid member what do you miss out on vs is you are a paid member? I don't really do the challenges, well I do But I don't submit them I just use it as something to go out and do. So I wanted to know if i really need to renew it or if it was something I could hold off on, untill I had the extra money to spend in here then i will def. pay again to help pay my part to keep this site going, because I truely love it!

The main things are:
- Your portfolio (no portfolio for registered users)
- Access to Member Challenges
- Access to the Member sections of the Forums
Although you portfolio will not be accessible after your membership expires, when you re-up, it will still be there.

Actually no he didn't. There are registered users and members on this site plus the site council and administrator. ;o)

Plus you get a blue outfit to wear (next to your name) rather than a grey one. And I believe the update button exists for members only, so if you are addicted to that then you better shell out the money.

It is rather confusing isn't it? LOL

In other words, you won't be able to upload your photos to a portfolio here on DPC because you won't have one as a registered user. Only members have portfolios. :)

Go to your preferences and poke around. You will see that you can have the update your scores button show on your home page when you are entered into a challenge. It is rather addictive :)

It's here:

My Preferences

Site Preferences
My Home Preferences

Recent Forum Activity Threads
Max 30. 0 = Off. Number of thread links displayed.

My Scores
Show scores and comments for my submissions during voting week. <------------ There is a box next to this that needs to be checked in order for your update button to show on your homepage when you enter a challenge.

Hope this helps LOL!!

Okay, thanks I didn't realize i could do it month to month too.. I know 25 dollars isn't much but when i'm shelling out around 1,000-3,000 a month in legal fees... 25.00 gets spent where it NEEDS to go first then where it can go... know what i mean.. those fellow gals out here with a "sperm donor" know what i'm talking about when the child support and custody battle's start..

can I get a question answered on this topic too?????

What if you have stuff in DPCPrints...does that become deactivated or is it considered seperate? Can I still add stuff to it or get my money?

(mine is due to expire here in like 5 days...just waiting for pay day lol)

I wasn't a paying member for a couple years for a church service and found that all my DPC Print sales were still there. Coolness.

You had a church service that lasted two years. Wow, and I thought my preacher was long-winded.

(Just kidding -- I'm assuming you are a Mormon and you were doing your two year mission?)

Haha. Nice play on words. That would be correct.

I don't think you can add or change stuff at DPC Prints, because that is handled through the DPC Portfolio Manager, which will become de-activated when/if your membership lapses.

I don't know if people can still buy prints or if you can collect/redeem your money if you have an inactive membership -- you'll need to send an Administrative Ticket directly to Langdon to answer those -- but my *guess* is "no" and "yes" respectively.
