The Emerald City is Seattle of course. Though I am not sure where the Wizard lives. |
"Emerald City" is also the nickname of:
* Seattle, Washington, United States
* Toronto, Ontario, Canada
* Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
* Muntinlupa, Philippines
* Eugene, Oregon, United States
* Greenwood, South Carolina, United States
* Green Zone, Baghdad, Iraq

Was at the high school football game last week (My kid plays in the band.) and got this as a result of being too quick for my flash.

I really like it. This young lady takes terrible pictures, and I just love her expression as well as the far off stare of her friend.

Really good mix of expressions between the two, Jeb. Nice work. |

I like it, and I like the noise here too (no pun intended). Go band!

I'm in Street Photography III, for another mid 4 score, seem to be in a rut with the voting at present.

Nah, c'mon Jeb, those VR zooms are highly overrated -
I didn't enter that in street - I entered something else that'll do even worse.
Take your 4 and raise (?) you a 3, Brian... |

I am back ... :)
I am in for Street Photography III and have quite a few to choose from for motion blur ...
This will be my first two challenge entries in a LONG time and the first entries from my new D60. WOW, it sure is a lot easier to get candid and motion shots with a camera that doesn't need three to four seconds make sure the focus and exposure is somewhat all right!
Mind you that Kodak Z650 did me very well for non-moving subjects!
... anyways ... wish me luck, Suckers!
... btw ... I had SO many Motion Blur that could have been Street Photography and vice versa that it rattled my nerves. Anyone else find that?

I realize I'm a little late coming in for the set up of the new place, but did anyone get us a guard dog yet ?
If not - I've got one handy.

Excellent! We shall never fear attack from the Evil Chew Toys. And should one get inside, my Sir Thomas will do his part...

My scores are virtually tied, which means one of them went down considerably, and one up a bit. The both sit at 5.56xx at the moment. |

Help ... I need some advice from my fellow Team Suck members ...
I have 2 (what I think are good but EXTREMELY DIFFERENT) images for the Motion Blur challenge but I like them both equally ...
Can a couple of you that will not vote on the Motion Blur Challenge please send me an email at Greetmir@yahoo.com and volunteer for me to send you the two images and give me your opinions as to which you like personally and which you think will score best ? I am so close to both of these that I cannot like one better than the other.
I would REALLY appreciate that as I am TOTALLY deadlocked on this one ...

I picked one for Street. Undoubtedly picked the wrong one, of course... But I have my reasons for the one I picked. Nothing to do with scoring, either. And now I must pick one for the open challenge... |

Oooh. Even closer. Current scores:
5.5737
5.5731
Makes it kind of fun to have scores on for a change! |

Dang, wish I could stay up til rollover tonight cause dying to see how the critter does. Sadly have to be in downtown Ottawa for 7:30, in real people clothes and even (ugh) makeup! But tomorrow promises to be a long day and I literally can't afford to be asleep at the switch.
Have an OK shot in for Street, and a good one for $$$...oh yes and must find and resize the pic I have of a tiger prowling my property... ...that's right, nobody will mess with Tiger Lily!

I was slammed with school all week and pretty much locked myself in the library. I really wanted to get a Street shot in, but I have a couple ideas ready to shoot for either money or motion blur.
