I like HDR..... lol to each his own! I don't like the plasticy look I like the crazy sky look!!

like mine

Nothing about that look natural, though. Sure, there are some fine examples that come out really well. Overall, I hate it.

LOL, goes to show you others peoples tastes are so different. I love that shot, I think it is one of better ones I have seen recently.

Usually HDR artifacts look like the mistakes that they are but in this case the haloing and the overall strong push in the editing adds something to the photograph whether it's a mistake or not. Obviously if you only prefer realistic looking images then you'll have to go elsewhere much like what you have to do with many forms of art.

Why do I like DPC?
- for the pervasive spirit, which amongst moments of negativity, is still constructive, supportive, and well intentioned.
- for the wonderful community......some enduring characters contribute to making the place what it is. Art Roflmoa, Shez, and many many more
- for the fantastic resource it is. Often people ask me a question about photography, computers, and the like. My frequent answer is for them to 'put it on DPC forums'....because an expert answer is always only minutes away.
- because you guys taught me what hardware and software to get, and where and how to get it.

It's an amazing resource. I am not an active participant......too busy to do many challenges....but I still pop in each few days to have a look. I love DPC.

Well, I am brand new to the sight...I am still bumping all around, haven't done any challenges...a little to scared, but I will jump off the board soon...I am amazed at the photographs that I have encountered. I can only "hope" to 1) get something posted (I am so crashing around PS E6 it's not funny) 2) have someone comment on the picture (constructive) 3) get any kind of placement (dead last would even count....ha ha, especially if I don't get DQ'd). I would really like to take "your" quality of pictues and "I will get there" I am determined to conquer.
