Hello, let me start by saying I'm in NYC. I have a 28-135mm canon lens its been about a month since I purchased it. Yesterday I was looking at the lens brushing it off, when I saw a spec of something on the inner lens. Tried blowing it with a can of compressed air but to no success. The spec is still on it. What can I do, where can I go to get this taken care of? Any help would be appreciated. |

The real thing to consider here is if it shows up in any of your pictures. Plenty of my stuff ends up filthy, as I live in a pigsty, but, more often than not, any dust on a lens is not really a problem. I can understand you worrying about it, though.

It is really nothing to worry about. I highly doubt it would even show up in any pictures. If you have spots in your pictures it is more likely sensor dust.
Try tearing off a small piece of a post-it note and sticking it on your lens and taking some pictures.
Let me know what happens :) |
