Hello, let me start by saying I'm in NYC. I have a 28-135mm canon lens its been about a month since I purchased it. Yesterday I was looking at the lens brushing it off, when I saw a spec of something on the inner lens. Tried blowing it with a can of compressed air but to no success. The spec is still on it. What can I do, where can I go to get this taken care of? Any help would be appreciated.

The real thing to consider here is if it shows up in any of your pictures. Plenty of my stuff ends up filthy, as I live in a pigsty, but, more often than not, any dust on a lens is not really a problem. I can understand you worrying about it, though.

It is really nothing to worry about. I highly doubt it would even show up in any pictures. If you have spots in your pictures it is more likely sensor dust.

Try tearing off a small piece of a post-it note and sticking it on your lens and taking some pictures.

Let me know what happens :)
