Great news here.... My Canon 50D is in!!! I will be picking it up on Wednesday (my next day off) so my future entries should hopefully be better. I am so excited. I wish I didn't have to work tomorrow, but I do.

geinafets - so sorry to hear about your camera. I hope it lasts until you can find and fund a replacement.

Hey guys I've been sort of inactive for a little while but I've been checking in now and again and never saw anything about leagues starting back up again. Is this in a different location like when the leagues ran the first time? I'm in Portland so when I saw Northwest I came into this thread to see what it was and lo and behold theres a league going. How far into to it are you?

njsabs2323 for her 5th place finish in the Sept. free study, 7th place finish in the portrait challenge and her 8th place finish in the Grimm Brothers challenge... Glad she's on our team!!!

There's some good stuff posted over at that "other place", I hope everyone is ready for rollover tonight. This is what I think is going on for this weeks challenges:

geinafets were going to be shooting something over the weekend and

yomi and myself are still working on ideas!! I am so last minute :)

Thanks so much. I did shoot something over the weekend that I really don't care for. I have something planned for this afternoon....but if that doesn't pan out I will use what I shot over the weekend. I'll post what I shot this weekend on the other site.

Thanks for the condolences everyone. I looked into getting the D300 yesterday (hopefully the metal body will protect the camera from all the horrible environmental conditions I seem to expose my cameras to), but technical difficulties ensued. Now I'm wondering if I should get the 50D instead. Either way, B&H is closed for the next ten days due to the holidays, so unless I buy online (not sure if that would really be faster), I'll have at least 10 days to decide!

I posted an edit (it's entered) but I'm really not sure about it. It's got some .JPEG artifacts so I'll re-edit with the fullsize (I locked myself out of my dorm room, bleh, so it's just edited from the file on flickr) and save using the GIMP which saves for web better than Photoshop does.

My daughter didn't think it was too funny though. ;) I had to distract her with some backyardagins and cheetos just to keep her away from my tripod and everything.

lol I was looking through Inside Out to see yours and I couldn't find it...I was getting kinda worried!!!
