You should make it a diptych challenge that way you can show the before and afters. Btw, why are you making it a single action? How would this be judged? Are you talking about shooting in jpg mode using the minimal editing ruleset + one extra action you can apply to serve as your retouch action? Most entries today have more than that applied in just the RAW conversion let alone Photoshop.

What you are describing sounds to me like ordinary before/after editing -- to me "retouching" involved reshaping, removing, or repairing objects or features, usually by means of the clone or healing brush tools. You might need a "special rule" to allow removal/addition of features, which is normally prohibited by the rule sets we've been using of late.
Rather than posting a diptych, I'd just post a link to the original; otherwise the photos will have to be too small. |
