The whole story??? ROFL! I stuck this in my portfolio, because while I did consider it on my FS list, I thought it had too much noise. Very quickly I received 2 comments (from Deb & jdannels) and a PM telling me how great it was, that I should quick hide it and put it in FS. So, I did!! It did receive 25 views in the short time it was up (one from glad2badad, as you can tell from his comment). I'm so happy I listened!

I think that the reason it is so hard is because unless you have critters in your life, you really don't experience unconditional love.
They love us just as we is, warts and all.
There's always a hole in my heart when a critter leaves me.......some days I feel like my heart is Swiss cheese.....8>(
Too many dogs and cats have crossed the Rainbow Bridge in my life.
Yet somehow.......some way......one of the little stinkers always seems to come along and find a new spot in this old tired heart.....and it begins anew.

Okay.....so my Monet-ism on an old truck wasn't exactly the bee's knees for the voters......truth be told, I expected a low to mid-5 score, so I'm delighted with a 5.7., but of course in the words of our immortal TS philosopher, I *LOVE* my shot......8>)
I got this comment from K10DGuy thyat just freakin' ROCKED!!!
"He ran, and ran, and ran. It wasn't real, it couldn't be. Another turn, another bush impeding him, another scratch from a thorn bush. Panting, out of breath, Jack turned, and found the strength somehow to scream. The truck was there still. Beyond all reality, it was there, and it was coming for him."
Isn't that just an awesome mental image???? Really works with the old truck IMNSHO! LOL!!!
I noticed Kelli got a poem, and there was a whole sub-thread going on in the FS thread about his commentary.
I think I'm gonna start an "I love K10DGuy" thread! LOL!!!

The poem is perfect, Ernie, as anyone who has been owned by a cat can attest. |

A rare "3 for 1" deal on the results thread! Congrats to kelli, gris210, and basssman7 for their top scores (and kelli had a personal best)! |

Sara, I'm very sorry. Nothing else to say, really. I hope you can help Lucy come to terms with it.

I dunno how it'll look on any of y'all's monitors......it is just okay on mine. Still playing with my new lens. The detail in this in an 8x10 print is truly astonishing!

Oh Sara, I am so sorry for you and Lucy. Scout knew you were there when she left, she is sad you have to suffer her too-early parting. |

Maybe someone can help me with this question.......I hope.
I just got a new Nikon D300 and Photoshop CS2 is acting a little different when I open images.
When I open an image that was shot vertically, photoshop automatically rotates the image to vertical. How do I stop it from doing that. I checked the setting on the camera and "Rotate Tall" is set to "No". It doesn't rotate the image on the viewfinder, it just rotates in in Photoshop.

Are you using NX to import the images into the computer or just copy and pasting the files from the camera to a folder on your computer?

Wow where does the time go? I turn the puter on every morning and then go off to do other things and at the end of the day turn it off. We have been sick in our household for this last week and haven't done anything except be sick. I'm really enjoying Photography class. Last week we learned about lighting too bad it was cold and cloudy and I wasn't able to get out and do much plus being sick didn't help. This week is about auto-focus and metering. More things to give my brain trouble :) |

Try exporting them directly from the removable drive into their own folder then take 'em into PS. |

Then my guess would be that Nikon Transfer is rotating them. I take my card out of the camera and put it into a reader built into my computer and copy and paste. You can also just plug the camera in and negotiate the the files on the card and then copy and paste into a folder on your HD. Of course NT might have a setting somewhere that you can turn the rotating off, but I do not use it so I am sorry I cannot help you there.

Quite a few of us are competing for the brown on this one. I'm at 3.9 right now. |

I thought I was in the running with a 4.7, but it looks like some of the scores are more upside down than mine. Good luck all who are competing for the TS favorite ribbon. |

Gosh it's been quiet here! I have a very solid "bottom 10%" entry to stick into the Wildlife challenge. I'd ask whether I should do that or not, but I already know the answer. And yes, it has been submitted. :-) |
