| Okay so I need to pick up a calibrator but an hour into research I'm still lost! Everyone I look at has lovers and haters there seems to be no clear winner. What I want is for prints to match my screen with good reliability. I have about 150 to maybe 200 dollars for this but funds are tight. Does it have to match exactly no but I want as best as I can get. Could someone point me in the right direction? |

| I have an EFI ES-100 (AKA Gretamacbeth Eyeone) at work, but that's an expensive device that I didn't pay for .The spyder runs about $150 and seems to have a lot of people who like it. I have some info I am sending you. |

I use the Spyder 2 (not the pro version) and it works very well. The newest version is the Spyder 3.
I know there are users here of the Huey. I've only had brief experience with the Huey (again not the pro version) and find the Spyder 2 (non-pro) works better for me and provides more control over the calibration process.

so is that the spyder 2 express then? I've heard really bad things about all of the spyder 3 series any input there? The store only has

No. I got the Spyder 2 Suite.

I use the older version of this. I then use the program that came with my canon printer, it has some profiles built into it, and you can have your own made. My prints look just like my monitor. I also have prints made by a couple of pro labs, and some consumers and there has been very little if any difference in them at all. Mostly what I see is some of the consumer labs prints will be slightly lighter, or darker then what I have when done in house or at my pro labs.
